Pleasant Hill Farm, LLC has a great selection of school horses to ride. Our school horses come in a range of sizes, colors, riding ability and personalities, from “Pumpkin” the “babysitter” who likes to keep things slow and peaceful to "Andy" who enjoys advanced jumping lessons. Each school horse is different in their own way and each one is ready to teach you something new with each lesson. Lessons last up to two hours.
Lesson are held by appointment for ages 5 and up. Adult lessons are also available. Lessons are planned out to work on the skills needed to maintain a balanced seat for riding, and the horsemanship skills necessary to handle horses safely.

What to Wear
Correct riding attire is mandatory. For your own safety, wear a hard-soled shoe with a small heel.
Paddock boots or tall boots are preferred. Tennis shoes and sneakers are not permitted for riding. Long pants, stretch
pants, tights, breeches and jodhpurs are ideal.
An ASTM/SEI approved helmet is required for all youth and strongly recommended for adult riders. A bike helmet is not designed for horseback riding and is unacceptable. We have several approved school helmets in different sizes for you to borrow for your first few lessons.
